Kate Boudreaux is an acclaimed author, screenwriter, and producer known for authentic Southern storytelling across genres. Praised by some of the South's finest voices, her debut novel Backwater has been optioned for film, with Kate serving as the screenwriter for the adaptation.​ She is also an active member of Women in Film and Television Texas and enjoys serving as a contributor for Texas Books in Review.

 

Rooted in her love of both literature and cinema, Kate is especially drawn to book-to-film adaptation and welcomes collaboration with authors, producers, and studios to translate novels into screenplays that honor the original work while making a powerful impact on screen.
